13.45-17.00 Advanced clinical skills workshops
(Run in parallel with afternoon sessions 3 and 4)

Each workshop entails
• expert tuition in small groups
• focus on hands-on practice
• individualised learning objectives

Three workshops are available:
• Delegates may attend only 2 workshops
• Each lasts 90 minutes, separated by a tea break
• There are 8 delegates per workshop

A: Fibreoptic intubation (90 minutes, supported by Storz)
Clinical tutors: Dr David Mason (Oxford), Dr Rob Walker (Manchester), Dr Crispin Best (Glasgow)

B: Simulated crisis management (90 minutes, supported by Laerdal)
This session involves demonstration of, and familiarisation with, the possibilities of simulation. It will be fun not stressful! Clinical tutors: Dr Mark Thomas (London), Dr Chris Chin (London)

C: Ultrasound technique (90 minutes, supported by Sonosite)
Clinical tutors: Dr Steve Roberts (Liverpool), Dr Diana Mathioudakis (Liverpool)

Delegates can attend two of the three workshops. Please rank your preferences for all three combinations (A&B, C&A, B&C) on the booking form. Whilst we will endeavour to assign you your first choice, allocation will be 'first come, first served'.
