The Mark Thomas Memorial Ride Completed!
The team can't believe we the support received so far raising over £11,000 YOU can help take us way past that.
On the 8th & 9th June 2026, a small group of Anaesthetists & bike fanatics completed a ride 400 km from London to the APAGBI Annual scientific meeting in Plymouth, raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
They are undertaking this ride in Memory of Past President APAGBI Dr Mark Thomas, who passed away in 2025 after a short illness with Pancreatic Cancer. Read our News Item

Dr Mark Thomas
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the death of Dr Mark Thomas, former consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital, who led us as APAGBI President from 2021 to 2023. Mark was a passionate advocate for paediatric anaesthesia and a thoughtful, dedicated leader. His contributions to our specialty and his warmth as a colleague will be profoundly missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.
