PATRN's first major project accepted for publication

The Paediatric Anaesthetic Trainee Research Network has had it’s first significant project accepted for publication in the BJA.

This is a major success for all the PATRN committee, who the APAGBI have supported in their development,  and also all the trainees from around the country who have worked together to complete this major piece of work. PATRN consists of an enthusiastic group of trainees interested in paediatric anaesthesia, who have collaborated to generate large multi centre observational studies on topics with broad interest to all.

More information about PATRN and their next project (PEACHY - obesity in children) is available here. Data collection has been completed and analysis is under way.

The article will be appearing in the April issue of the BJA and will be titled:

"Incidence of paediatric unplanned day-case admissions in the UK and Ireland: a prospective multicentre observational study"
