Dr Kester Brown

We have been deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Kester Brown.
Kester was a giant in the world of paediatric anaesthesia with a global network of people he had supported and mentored. He made extraordinary contributions across so many domains including clinical, education, research and administration via many organisations, not only RCH, but also ANZCA, the ASA and the WFSA. He also took pride in enthusiastically engaging with his family and other interests such as his art and photography and tennis (and club hockey until the age of 54). Kester was still contributing academic papers and book chapters, most recently focussed on the history of anaesthesia, until just a few weeks ago.
