Here are some of the best Apps available for use in paediatric anaesthesia.

A functional, interactive repository of key information including critical care drug doses immediately on hand, preferring to shed the hefty textbooks to manage children wherever we practice globally. Developed by Jerry Lerman, Charles Cote and Brian Anderson.

Peds Anesthesia 
Simple to use, provides information regarding ET size, fluids, pre-meds, medications and vital signs. However, does not include resuscitation data. Note: not available on android.

Pedi safe. 
Very easy to use app, works along similar lines to the ‘Broselow’ tape system. Provides vital signs, airway equipment sizing, medication doses and cardiac resuscitation information.  No data regarding analgesia or antibiotic dosages. Well suited for ED, less useful for operating theatre.

NICE has developed this excellent offline reference for the BNF for Children. Updates provided free of charge. Sign in with an NHS Athens account. The author uses this app most days. Free for NHS staff

Resuscitation

Paediatric Emergency Drugs.
Automatically scales to ipad size. The application uses formulas designed and developed by the team at the South Thames Retrieval Service (STRS) and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Evelina Children's Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' Trust, London. Calculates cardiac arrest drugs, frequently used infusions, induction agents, muscle relaxants and anticonvulsants. Also provides physiological parameters, endotracheal tube sizes & other equipment (laryngeal masks, chest drains, central lines).
